Walking through a gray city emits sounds in an elliptical sequence. Rain washes away the pavement. The human form dissolves into the mist. Our paths are blocked, our hearts are covered, black curtains hang in dingy doorways. The structure is solid, but erosion sits in the air and the engine revs between stagnation and collapse.
