We are still too near to California. We head out on the Interstate of the mind. The tape gets chewed and we never fix it. Can we get far enough away from the denim arms of the rock star? We play the riff over, and over, and over again, until its hidden meaning is revealed: the occult process happens inside the art itself, not inside the artist.

This album is not an homage, despite the recent death of its namesake. Our cultural moment is stuck in the gears, but maybe through this throttled loop we might finally see the way into the future. Habit, repetition, breeds tolerance, and tolerance demands an ever higher dose.
